A pair of composite stone vases made in the style of the 'Milton Vase', originally produced in cast iron by the Coalbrookedale Foundary in England, circa 1850s. The ornate decoration is based on John Milton's poem Paradise Lost, and features Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and Satin with his fallen angels. The vase even has a snake coiled around the base.
